Meet Lauren Scruggs Kennedy! Inspirational, kind, smart, generous, funny, stunning. As a lifestyle blogger and New York Times best-selling author with a passion for wellness, it was a no-brainer for us to partner with Lauren on our new Tejari Organic Beets + Carrots Blend. We sat down to get the scoop on her empowering foundation, advice on clean eating, and how she conjures self-love and motivation on a daily basis.

We are long time admirers of you and the work you’ve done! Can you introduce yourself for those who may not know you?

Hi! I am Lauren Scruggs Kennedy. I am married to my best friend, Jason, and we have a 1 year old puppy named Bennett; he is such a bundle of joy. I have an online website, started a dry shampoo company, Stranded, with my best friend + part of my family and a few others have joined the team and are about to launch three products that we are so excited about. I started the Lauren Scruggs Kennedy Foundation to help girls and women who have experienced limb loss. I launched The Clean Sweep, which is a three part guide to attainable clean living.

Can you tell us about the Lauren Scruggs Kennedy Foundation?
I started it after learning that insurance fights so hard on providing beautiful prostheses, and after I experienced how much wholeness mine brought me, I felt so passionate to come up with a solution for this. We exist to bring hope, restore confidence, and ignite faith in girls and women by providing beautiful cosmetic coverings for prostheses. It is such a joy to walk through this process with these incredible women.

How do you find motivation to work hard during times when you’re feeling discouraged?
This is such a good question! I don’t often feel discouraged because I truly feel like I am right where I am supposed to be and am so inspired by those around me. Also, my coping mechanism is working on projects, so that can be so helpful but also realizing that there is purpose behind my job, and my biggest hope is that my content can help and inspire others. And remembering that helps bring me out of any discouragement.

What advice would you give to someone who is struggling with body image and self love?
My biggest advice would be to stop comparing, unfollow those that make you feel inadequate, and remember that we are all different and that’s what makes us all so beautiful. God has created you with so much intention and purpose!

What is your favorite part of working as a wellness and lifestyle blogger?
I am so grateful to be in this business. Wellness is such a personal passion of mine from my own experience and brings me so much life being able to help others through sharing what I have learned and experienced. I have so much fun also sharing all things lifestyle; it is so vulnerable yet feels so communal to all share our routines. And I feel so honored to be able to write about and share what I am passionate about.

Tejari Organic Beets and Carrots

How does eating healthy and prioritizing nutrition affect your overall well being?
What I eat has such a great impact on the way I feel physically and mentally. The food we consume affects our gut health significantly which is the main part of our immunity and mental health.

Do you have a go-to simple weeknight dinner you rely on for busy evenings?
Ground grass fed and grass finished buffalo in a Siete tortilla with roasted veggies, a massaged kale and lettuce salad with lots of roasted beets, herbs, homemade dressing made with Organic Tejari Beets and Carrots Blend, sauerkraut, and chives.

Tejari Organic Beets and Carrots

How has incorporating Tejari changed the way you prepare or enjoy certain foods?
Tejari is a game changer! You can make so many delicious recipes with it. My husband also puts it in his smoothie every morning!

What Tejari blends are your current favorite?
Tejari Organic Beets and Carrots Blend and Tejari Organic Vanilla Blend!

What are your tips for incorporating more nutrition into your diet each day? Meal prep, batch cook, always have herbs and sauerkraut on hand along with easy, healthy snacks!

Besides eating healthy, what is one of your current favorite forms of self care?
Acupuncture, yoga, skincare and baths!

What advice would you give to your younger self?
To realize how God created me just as I am and that is where my identity lies. Beauty is truly fading and trying to be like someone else is negating the value of who you are.
